About

Your servers. Our tooling.

DeployLane is for teams who want the convenience of a deploy platform without handing their infrastructure to one.

Why DeployLane exists

Platforms like Vercel, Heroku and Render make shipping easy. The catch is that you rent everything from them: the servers, the database, the network and the region it all runs in. You pay their markup, you live with their limits, and leaving means rebuilding.

Running your own servers is the other way. It's a lot cheaper and you're in charge, but now someone has to keep Docker, the reverse proxy, certificates, backups and cron jobs in shape. Kubernetes mostly trades that work for a different kind of work.

DeployLane sits in between: push-to-deploy, automatic HTTPS, database backups you can actually restore and cron jobs you can read, on servers you own.

How it works

You connect your Hetzner Cloud project and your GitHub account. DeployLane creates servers in your project, installs Docker and Traefik on them, and builds and runs your app every time you push, behind HTTPS. It schedules Postgres backups to Object Storage in your own Hetzner project and runs your cron jobs on your servers.

Your apps, databases and backups live in your Hetzner account, and Hetzner bills you for them directly. DeployLane is the control plane on top: the dashboard, the automation and the safety rails. DeployLane itself runs on DeployLane, too.

Principles

What we won't compromise on.

Your infrastructure stays yours

Servers, databases and backups live in your own Hetzner account. Stop using DeployLane and they keep running.

No markup on compute

We charge for the tooling. Hetzner bills you directly for servers and storage, at Hetzner's own prices.

Boring building blocks

Docker, Traefik, Let's Encrypt, Postgres and cron. Tools you can inspect and fix yourself, with or without us.

Nothing proprietary in your repo

A Dockerfile or docker-compose.yml is all DeployLane needs. There's nothing to rip out if you leave.

Safety rails on the scary buttons

Restores take a safety snapshot first and make you type to confirm. A bad deploy is one click from a rollback.

European by default

Run your servers in Hetzner's datacenters in Germany and Finland. DeployLane itself is made in the Netherlands.

Who's behind it

DeployLane is a product of FreelyIT, a software development and DevOps company from Tilburg, the Netherlands.
